History and Members

The inaugural meeting of the Naval Dockyards Society was held at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, on 14 September 1996, and the constitutional meeting was held at the same venue on 1 March 1997.

We currently have around 200 members throughout the world, including former dockyard and naval personnel, family historians, and academics.
